Dover has long been a part of our shelves here at the Depot. Besides publishing outstanding activity books for children, coloring books for all ages, and paper modeling and craft books, Dover has, over the years, published many of the reference books for American and British architectural and furniture design. In short, the reference library for The Scale Cabinetmaker would require a lot less space if it weren’t for Dover.
This year, we have added a bunch of new stuff to our already extensive collection of Dover books and coloring books.
Paper modeling is one of the best ways to learn how to model, whether your interested in trains; ships; architecture, dollhouses, and furniture; product design; or engineering design. For an explanation of paper modeling and the required tools, see our section in Creative Play. Dover’s paper models are printed on heavier cover stock. While most are not designed for the beginning modeler (for that we suggest checking out some of the online sites listed on the Paper Modeling page) with beginning scissor or knife skills, the should work well for intermediate modelers.
